Kala Health Services - February 2009

posted 04/13/09 13:11:13 by

Kala Health Services February 2009 Summary of project status and achievements:

Through a partnership with Kala 4 Primary School, the Youth Group has transitioned from working with young children to targeting children between the ages of ten to fourteen. This partnership brings children to the FORGE classroom after school is done for the day to learn about relevant health topics. Currently, the Youth Group is working with students in class six, and next month will work with students in class five. The primary school teachers and FORGE employees report that the transition has gone very well, as older children are better able to understand the information and use it in the community than the younger children were. The teachers report that attendance is very good for these classes.

Health and Body classes have continued as normal.
