FEF Project Coordinator Blog April 2009 (Note - This blog was written by the refugee Project Coordinator for this project. As English is not her first language, there may be some minor grammatical errors in her writing. Care was taken to clarify any passages that were confusing, while leaving most of the blog untouched in order to preserve her original tone.)

Bartholomew Masuwa is my name residing in Meheba Refugee Camp and I am the coordinator for FORGE Education Fund (FEF). The project is really doing fine and the community is appreciating for the services that it is rendering to them, for it is helping especially the vulnerable persons to go to school and the parents who are unable to send their children to school they wish it should continue.

In the past months the students were at schools and at this period of time they are on break. They will be opening the schools on the 11th May, 2009. During their school days I have been visiting the students to get the problems that they are facing in school, see how they are doing and tutor them. Otherwise the students are doing fine academically. In fact one of our sponsored students for last year by the name of Domingo Kayombo became the highest last year during his grade 12 final exams and he is still looking for scholarship to the university. This is how the project is doing and we just hope there will be another intake this year.
