INTRODUCTION
After waiting for a long period of time, we have finally resumed the school activities and fell like excited to enjoy my new academic program in BBA 18.
i – SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
This semester really keeping me busy; this is because we have started a little bit late referring to the way it was planned. So far we have got four assignments which one in business administration has already been submitted. Below is list of the topics in each subject that we have already covered.
- In information system: Introduction to information technology, computer science, computer generation and types;
This module was interesting especially when we talked about the importance of information system within the organization, the characteristics of good information, the meaning of computer based information system, and level of management. This will be useful for me to distinguish the different levels of management in an organization and know how the information can be important and useful within an organization.
- In Business administration: The nature of an organization, the growth of the organization, and the meaning of production
These topics will help me to identify what kind of the business I am working for, and the process of communication channel that can be used in that specific organization regarding line and staff management.
- In finance accounting: Theoretical framework of accounting, depreciation and disposal of fixed assets, evaluation and interpretation of financial statements; these topics will be relevant when I will want to see whether or not the business equipments, after being used in an organization, are losing values (depreciation).
- In management, knowledge and information: Information and knowledge needs internal and external, primary and secondary sources of information; this will help me how to research for relevant information that can protect the business against competitors.
- In microeconomics: Introduction to microeconomics, concept of opportunity cost, economic methodology, price effect, prices of other related commodities, and demand and supply: these topics will be useful for my future career to specify what, when, and to whom the production of goods and services can be effectively applied to customers so as to help the organization achieve its business goals.
ii - PERSONAL ACTIVITIES
It is my pleasure that we finally came up with a new Cavendish soccer team; football is one of my talents so I fell like I don’t only need to improve my intellectual capacity of thinking, but also I need to physically change by improving my soccer talent; am quite happy for that. A part from this, cooking and going to church is also other main personal activities that I have been doing in this august.
iii – MISCELLANEOUS
It was a very exciting month to have a chance of meeting Audrey’s parents and have a nice dinner together; thanks once again for that. I was also be very exciting that some of the topics that we have been discussing at home with Audrey, are also coming in class discussion at school.
