i. SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

After I wrote my exams on the 5th of September 2009, I had to go visit my family that repatriated to Pweto in mid August 2009, I had to go to school only for the 4 first days if September when I was writing exams. I left Lusaka in the second week of the month and returned on Sunday the 20th October 2009 as I was supposed to resume class on Monday the 21st October. There are no school activities to mention for these two months because I have not yet started class due to Cavendish University delays.

ii. PERSONAL ACTIVITIES

I was so happy to be with my family for the first time after being repatriated, I had to work hard to make sure my family could live without me. It is going to be a challenge for my wife to take care of everything on her own before I graduate next year since in Kala I was with her and just before I left for school, I took her to my daddy’s home where she was some how helped by my family members. Now that my dad is in Kilwa (150+ K away from Pweto), she will have to take care of everything on her own. Pweto is located in the southern part of Katanga and is bordering Zambia in Chiengi district/Lwapula province.

Pweto is just less than 10 kilometers away from the Zambian border and is the repatriation are for many people who never stayed there before war; many people feel uncomfortable going back where they came from but chose to be near the boarder because they don’t want to experience what ever they went through during the war time in case something happens again.

iii. MISCELLANEOUS

In my two last semesters I was in a class of two as you know; last semester I was supposed to work on a group project with my only classmate who unfortunately never had time to work on it, since we were supposed to work on it together, there was no way I could work on it without him; we therefore never submitted it and have to repeat it this semester. I then decided not to continue with that class of two but join the weekend class of the same intake as us; this class has 8 students who are well organized and focused on their studies, I feel like being part of them will help me benefit a lot.
