The report is for the above mentioned month during my classes and they were wonderful that I have learned paramount lessons that will enable me to handle not only issues pertain with organization, but also personal development and self monitoring in relation to the social responsibility the below are some of the topics we have covered for the month.

i - SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

For Human resource: pay roll management; fringe benefit; development of Employees’ involvement; why employees join trade union;

The topics were fascinated that I have learned how employees are motivated so that they are remain committed in an organization equally to reduce labour rate turn over or indeed if they are dissatisfied with the management in term of payment. However, employees who managed formed then the representative not only negotiate and bargain with the management for improvement and living standard of its members, but employees as a whole. Other aspect of organization that maintain paying salary same wages and salaries without taking into account that the prices of food items are increasing in market, the organization will be less productive because employees will definitely put little.

For Industrial Relation; employers association; International labour organization; the role of Zambia Institution of human resource;

I have learned with interest how the employers association and International labour organization and reasons they were formed to enabling the employees not to be discriminated at work place not only in article 11 which was adapted by government of Zambia, but also article 100 that equal remuneration for men and women for work of equal valve. And for employers association they regulate and help employees with their activities and also represent them at industrial court.

For Qualitative; Research processes; definition research problem; setting objectives; research questions; literature review ; referencing Harvard style;

I have being enjoying research topics that we have learned because it actually provide a clear picture and processes of how to carrying out research for example title, problem situation, general objective and specific objective and with these I have identified the area for my research proposal and precisely it is health and safety at work place. We are also using Harvard style for referencing the literature as it is being recommended by national institution of public administration.

For quantitative; probability theory concept; common probability distribution; Element of statistics;

This is a topic that is fascinating because it is challenging and broaden the mind let say if there are chances that an event is likely going to happen or how you as an individual know this, and it has the term whenever calculating to arrive at answers, I do enjoy the this topic as well simply because it keeps one alert.

For Organization behavior; managing group in organization and conflict management.

We have had topics in our evening classes with PM and we continued at school I did enjoy and learn many aspect types of conflict, root causes of conflict at individual level that is conflict within oneself and signs like not talking and under mining each other and also inter group conflict simply because inadequate resources and the outcome is clique or faction that excludes other groups despite the fact that problem may be affecting entire organization, and at traditional level conflict is viewed as not good, but for human relation conflict is viewed as naturally.

ii - PERSONAL ACTIVITIES

I have a lot of school activities this time that need a serious concentration personal and group in order to have good results any way because I can feel that there is a pressure big up many things to look at time solution to strictly follow the time management and my time schedule for studies.

My wife and I arranged to have some four bags of fertilizers for this farming season for food security at home.

iii – MISCELLANEOUS

I would like mention that one of our students Paul Ohisa will be leaving for Sudan after his course at Cavendish University this Friday October 30, 2009
