This monthly report outlines the major school, personal and miscellaneous activities that were performed within the above mentioned month. Before talking about the above three subjects, namely school, personal miscellaneous issues let to me express my feelings to both FORGE management and my sponsor.
I strongly believe that, both FORGE management and my sponsor are aware that I have become to the end of my third year at the University. I know many people with a lot experiences and having gone through many Universities, may say, three years is just a short period of time. However, personally, it has not been a simple and smooth road through out the three years; rather it has been a period where I was throughout swimming in a huge spring of knowledge that is full of “contradictions, unbelievable, nicked facts, myths and comparisons” of theories and practical applications of these theories in the past, present and in different parts of this world. Above all these schools of thoughts, there come many important questions to answer:
I’m not trying to say things are impossible or we have reached dead end, but rather putting an emphasis on the fact that for one to be successful in life it requires more than just finishing a course at the University. It needs serious networking, consultations and doing the right thing at a right time that is within ones ability. In short, I’m saying, when I finish my course it doesn’t means saying bye to FORGE and my sponsor, instead it means opening a new strong chapter of relationship that should let me into transferring what I have learned into positive visionable actions.
i – SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
This month has been full of revisions, tests, group work in all the five courses I took this semester (Industrial Economics, Labour Economics, and Research Methodology, Money and banking and Development Economics). I believe we have adequately prepared for the exams and are ready to sit come Monday the 30th.11.2009. I’m looking forward to do my exams successfully and carry on my Research paper next year.
ii – PERSONAL ACTIVITIES
iii – MISCELLANEOUS:
I wish all Americans a happy “Thanks Giving” celebration, but, as humans, we should remember that, while our sisters, brothers, mothers and fathers are celebrating the hard time that they when through in the early days of their lives in the United States of America, the same mothers, young sisters and brothers are going through the hardships today under the heavy rains, tick forest, Bullets and all kinds of un human treatment in Congo and Darfur/Sudan. So it is our collective responsibility as humans to bear in mind that what ever we call “garbage” in the developed world, developing and even underdeveloped countries can easily cause a huge celebration and relief to those hopeless and helpless human beings. I mean, just one old blanket or mosquito Net can cover over four children from mosquitoes and prolong their lives for some months if not years to come. Today, the world know nothing about these children and their contribution to this planet earth, but just let us keep them alive, it will not be a surprise to see one or two of these children becoming the best leader the world has ever aspect to lead these war toned countries to total peace and prosperity. So “the ball is on our hands”.
