Summary of project status/future activities:
In the past few months, intestinal parasites has been second only to malaria cases in terms of how many people RHS has diagnosed. Responding to the needs of the community, this month the RHS employee conducted several sensitizations on diarrhea and intestinal parasites. She was able to reach 80 people across different roads in Zone G with these sensitizations.
The Block G Health Services consulted 29 patients this month. The majority, 11, were for malaria and the second largest group, 7, were for aches and pains.
As well this month the RHS employee continued working with children to prevent HIV/AIDS using the Grassroots Soccer curriculum. Seventeen students graduated and received certificates if their knowledge and work with Grassroots Soccer.
Future activities and projections:
On November 7th there will be a camp-wide VCT day at road 36. The RHS employee has been advertising and urging people from Block G to go for the Voluntary Counseling and Testing.
