Meheba Friendly Libraries Project Coordinator Blog May 2009 (Note - This blog was written by the refugee Project Coordinator for this project. As English is not his first language, there may be some minor grammatical errors in his writing. Care was taken to clarify any passages that were confusing, while leaving most of the blog untouched in order to preserve his original tone.)

Meheba Friendly Library is based in Meheba Refugee Settlement. It is located in Block ‘A’ at Meheba Secondary School. It is a biggest library in Meheba Refugee Settlement. It has different books at different academic levels which is carrying knowledge not only in Meheba but in different parts of Zambia. Many people are pleased with the system of introducing this library in the Settlement which has make many people from different parts of the country to acquire all the essential knowledge they need. This system has helped students from different colleges and universities as well as pupils, at secondary schools, basic schools and primary schools to access their studies. Therefore, it has really brought a great motivation in terms of acquiring knowledge because it has activated many people in their academic studies.

I therefore urge all the sponsors to continue with the help of donating books to this project as it is bring knowledge to people in Africa(Zambia).
