INTRODUCTION
It was impressive to see CDRC staff responding positively to the Verbal warnings that there were given during the month of December. The staff had become demoralized over the salaries which had been cut last year which had somewhat made these people relax in terms of work. After discussions with the PM Carol, the staff apologized and promised to put in more energy in their work. These positive results were seen with the way there became an increase with the statistics and number of classes. Hope that this spirit of hard work will continue in all staff so that a positive impact can be made to a bigger number of the refugee population.
STATISTICS / INDICATORS
The statistics and indicators for CDRC was reasonable as can be noted in the statistics and indicators table. The recruiting staff also did well with regards to recruitment for short and intense classes which have continued though repatriation is out of season. Hope that many people of the camp will continue taking keen interest in the projects so that they can be empowered in these classes before repatriation begins May 2009.
REQUESTS / WISHES
The project has all its necessary need as of now.
SUBSTANTIAL PROBLEMS / ISSUES
The radio for SFCG needs repair time to time as it has now seen its days. With budgets that are too tight, this particular program might stop since management does not put a bit of petty cash in the budgets which should be used for such kind of repairs.
UPCOMING ACTIVITIES / EVENTS
The youth group has once again expressed interest in continuing with their programmes. PMS Carol, Stephanie and Augustine will have a meeting in the near future with some youths to asses whether re starting the youth group will be something that will be possible. Results of this meeting will be communicated to the COC Nick.
